Powerful Parenting Without The Struggle

Interpersonal Neurobiology ~ The Feldenkrais Way

Course description:

This course is for Parents, caregivers, and professionals who specialize in the care of babies and children of all ages, with all kinds of needs.

In this Workshop you will:

  • familyLearn the importance of mindful verbal and nonverbal communication.
  • Improve your communication with your children
  • Engage parenting partners in co-operative communication: family         members, nannies, and all childcare professionals.
  • Gain understanding of the science behind heartfelt communication and  the long lasting, positive effect it has on children and everyone around  you.
  • Learn how the brain/mind develops and learns through movement and   touch.

The day will be spent with lecture, verbal and non-verbal communication practices, as well as developmental Awareness Through Movement Lessons.

WHEN: Saturday, November 5th, 10:00 to 4:00

WHERE: Alta Vista Gardens, 1270 Vale Terrace Drive Vista, CA 92084

COST:

  • $ 200 per Couple, or $ 100 per person if registered by Oct. 20
  • $ 250 per Couple, or $ 125 per person after Oct. 20             
  • $50 Deposit to Register.

It is not necessary to do this workshop with your spouse, but you will need a partner to practice with. If you are single, please call to register, we will have other single parents or caregivers attending.

Donna Ray, M.A., M.F.T. is an internationally known teacher/ trainer of the Fa_Donna_2010eldenkrais Method and Psychotherapist. She works with a large variety of people including; infants, toddlers, children, adolescents and families with special needs. Her 25 years of practice has included people with autism, cerebral palsy, ADD, ADHD and other kinds of learning difficulties. She studied personally with Dr. Esther Thelen, Dr. Alan Fogel and with Dan Siegel, M.D.  In addition to her private practice, she worked for three years at the Moyer Center for Learning, Directed by Education Specialist, Gayle Moyer.  She works with individuals, families and couples helping them transform unhealthy habits into healthy ways of living.  Donna, along with their father Mark Reese, raised two children of her own.

 

Garden Open Daily 7:00-5:00 Monday-Friday; 10:00- 5:00 on weekends

Admission is $2.00 for non-members; admission is Free with Membership
