Summer Camp Series

Location: Alta Vista Gardens, Vista (At Brengle Terrence, above the Moonlight Amphitheater)

Come spend the morning, afternoon or all day having fun and enriching activities. With 6 different camps, there is something for everyone. Choose the program that fits your interests and schedule.

Visual and Performing Arts Camp

Dates: June 20 – 24
Grades: 1-5
Morning Session - 9 to 12

Drama, Cooking and Photography

First we will try out our acting and drama skills with fun exercises and improv. We will learn how to make some tasty and healthy snacks and then we’re off to the gardens with our cameras to photograph our beautiful surroundings. (Students should bring their own camera)

Camp Fee: Sign up by April 29: $120 After April 29: $135

Afternoon Session – 12:30 to 3:30

Music, Nature Art Studio

We will try out a variety of musical instruments and learn some fun new songs, then we are out to the gardens on a nature exploration art studio to express ourselves through sketching, drawing and painting our natural surroundings.

Camp Fee: Sign up April 29: $120 After April 29: $135

Science, Cooking and Art Camp

Dates: June 27 – July 1
Grades: 1-5
Morning Session - 9 to 12

Motion, Simple Machines, Flight & Construction

This camp will offer a variety of projects and experiments with simple machines, how they work, and explore why they work. Students will defy the laws of gravity and utilize the principles of flight to design, build and launch planes, catapults and even balloon rockets.

Afternoon Session – 12:30 to 3:30

Botany, Gardening, Cooking & Art

This camp has a something for everyone. We will explore the natural world of plants and botany by exploring the beautiful Alta Vista gardens, learn about gardening, test out some recipes in the kitchen and uncover new artistic talents in our art studios.

Wonders of the Natural World Camp

Dates: July 11 – 15
Grades: 1-5
Morning Session - 9 to 12

Art Studio: Papermaking, Weaving, Printmaking & Mosaics

We will use nature as our inspiration and in our materials as we create unique works of art. This camp is a wonderful chance to try out new art forms and techniques

Afternoon Session 1 to 4

The Art of Gardening, Science of Sound

The afternoon will explore nature through science, uncovering mysteries and learning about the world around us. We will learn about soil composition, how plants grow through cool experiments. We will also explore sounds and music of different musical instruments each day.
